What is the "Offering Date" on August 29th?
The offering date on August 29th is a day that the General Youth Division invites churches nationwide to receive a special sacrificial offering for SFC during the Sunday Morning Service. It is intended to be a final thrust for your local church to cap off the SFC campaign.

When is my SFC offering due?
We need to have offerings turned in to Illinois Youth Ministries by September 30th. 

Where do I send my offering?
Your SFC offering should be sent directly to the Illinois Youth Ministries, care of Rev. Greg Wilhelm.  The mailing address is: 604 Shanon Dr., Heyworth, IL 61745. All Pastors should have received a mailer from the GYD with a self addressed envelope for convenience in mailing your offering.

How much of the funds that we give to SFC stay in Illinois?
Forty percent of the funds received stay right here in our district. These funds are used to assist in financing annual events such as Youth Camps and Youth Convention, etc.   This forty percent is also the budget we use to help fund IL District Bible Quizzing. Each year a stipend is given to support the top 2 two teams in each division to attend the North American Bible Quiz Tournament. In recent years, the significant decrease in offerings has restricted our ability to continue several programs as well as reduced our allocation to our current ministries.   Many cost cutting measures have been instituted and the Youth Committee has made some tough decisions to take the necessary steps to operate within our current budget.  However, we believe we will turn the corner and rebound with a great offering in 2010.

What happens with the 60% that is sent to the GYD?
Sixty percent of our SFC offering will be sent to General Youth Division at WEC in order to support our allocation partners. Those partners are Foreign Missions, Home Missions, Tupelo Children's Mansion, Lighthouse Ranch for Boys, Spirit of Freedom Ministries and many others... visit www.sheavesforchrist.com for more information.
